Also known as a Full Shell hearing aid, the ITE fills the outer ear and can be the most comfortable and easiest to use, especially for those with dexterity problems. This size offers features not available in smaller hearing aids and will fit mild to profound hearing losses.

Behind The Ear (BTE)
Traditionally BTE hearing aids are for the severe to profound hearing loss or for children, although some have always prefered this style over the others. BTE instruments have gained in popularity among all hearing aid users because of the availability of directional microphones and other features that may not work as well in custom in the ear insruments. BTE hearing aids can fit mild to profound losses.

Open Fit or Reciever in the Ear (RITE
RITE hearing aids are the latest concept in hearing aids and are most effective for high frequency hearing losses. They are a small behind the ear hearing aid with a tiny tube (or wire) that directs the sound into the ear canal using an "open" ear mold. This type of hearing aid addresses the common complaint of occlusion(plugged ear feeling) that people with a more mild hearing loss experience.
